Why CMDB Health Matters
You cannot automate what you cannot see accurately. Poor Configuration Management Database (CMDB) hygiene leads to massive downstream failures in automated incident resolution and change management.
The Dashboard
We built a custom dashboard in the Service Portal reporting on:
- Completeness: Are heavily weighted fields populated?
- Correctness: Do the relationships make topological sense?
- Staleness: When was the CI last updated by Discovery?
The dashboard automatically delegates Data Certification tasks to CI Owners when scores drop below 85%.
